The “Leaf Guitar”

- concert size with paduk back, sides and cedar top

This singer/songwriter short scale fingerstyle guitar was the first built in my nature series.  This guitar features a pin oak leaf soundhole design and bridge reflecting the roots and branches of a tree.  The custom armbevel makes the guitar super comfortable to hold.  An access panel on the lower bout of the guitar provides access for maintenance of an LR Baggs I-Beam active pickup with a volume control accessible through the soundhole.  This guitar features a slightly wider spread of the strings at the saddle making it super comfortable for fingerstyle playing.  It lets you dig deep with your fingers for a nice fat tone.  This guitar exudes the warm bass tones cedar is known for.  The trebles on this guitar are less bright than the sitka tops, but this is no detriment.  This guitar was built roughly five years ago and has been a personal favorite of mine for its play-abilty and the warmth that it brings to singing.  This guitar has performed at many campfires and formal shows and has some light scratches and wear.  I would rate the overall condition as excellent with perfect playability, a nice low action, and straight neck.  I will provide a lifetime warranty with this guitar the same as a brand new instrument.

Paduk Jumbo Guitar - Sunburst

This may be the ultimate jazz, lead, or strumming guitar.  It has a big voice and has been called a “sound cannon” by more than one player.  It has sharp trebles for lead playing up the neck with a huge bass and great overall balance. This jumbo guitar is made of paduk back and sides with engleman spruce top. It has an arm bevel and a mahogany, long scale neck with lacewood veneer headstock and Gotoh 510 mini 18:1 tuners. It comes with an undersaddle, piezo style pickup installed.  This guitar has very light playing wear from being used as a demonstrator as well as slight case scratches.  It will be re-buffed before shipping and is in perfect playing condition.  The dark sunburst finish on the top as well as the subtle shading over the paduk back is stunning.

Indian Rosewood Concert Guitar - Cutaway

This guitar is part of the “Mustache Guitar” design series and  would excel at blues or gypsy jazz.  It has a very tight-grained sitka spruce top, indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck with laminations of paduk and maple, and walnut veneer headstock.  The fretboard is king wood that has a sapwood streak. This short scale guitar has a very fast attack with super sharp trebles.  The cutaway and tight-grained top give this guitar a fast response.  This combined with the cutaway would be ideal for fast lead players or anyone that like to play up the neck.  This guitar is no slouch on the bass side either with great note separation and balance. This guitar comes with your choice of pickup installed.

Ramieriez Classical Guitar (restored)

Cool vintage classical guitar!

The guitar label has Madrid Instrumentos Para Rondalla Concepcion Jeronima no 2   228-12-17 .  I believe it is a student model guitar from the 1950’s or 1960’s .  It came to me in rough condition and required complete restoration which included a new top and bridge.  The back and sides are highly figured mahogany with a sitka spruce top. The tuners look original with one button replaced that looks slightly different.  It is in immaculate playing condition and has a cool vintage vibe that is sure to increase collectability compared to a new guitar.  This guitar is slightly smaller than a standard classical making it very comfortable for smaller players.  Its voice is probably not as loud as a full size classical body, but it has a very sweet tone with nice sustain.  The total body length is 19 1/8 inches, upper bout is 10 3/8 inches, lower bout is 13 ¾ inches, and body depth is 3 ½ inches.

A used case is provided with this guitar.  A new case may be included for an additional $115.

Concert Ukelele

- spalted maple back and sides, spruce top

There were originally 4 ukelele’s built out of a batch of spalted maple that I inherited from my late father.  This uke features a spruce top, mustache bridge, and kingwood fretboard.  This instrument has a bright projecting tone and is currently set up with low “g” tuning and a wound bass string.  This tuning gives it a lot of warmth and contributes to its beautiful “baby classical guitar” sound.  This instrument is provided with a L.R. Baggs pickup that reproduces it bright woody tone beautifully.

Concert Ukelele

- spalted maple back and sides, cedar top

This instrument was made from some spalted maple that I inherited from my late father.  It features a mustache style bridge and kingwood fretboard with sapwood accents.  The neck is 1 3/8 at the nut.  This instrument plays much bigger than it looks with bright projecting tone that people might mistake for a full sized classical guitar.

Bubinga concert series

-torrified sitka top

This mustache series guitar features a torrified sitka spruce top.  This process heat treats the top to make it both stiffer and lighter in the same way that aging improves the sound of a vintage guitar.  This guitar will shock you with it’s volume, responsiveness, and sweetness.  This guitar comes with a L.R. Baggs Lyric acoustic microphone pickup with endpin preamp and volume control.  It is a fantastic pickup that picks up all the woodiness of the acoustic guitar sound without sacrificing brightness.
